Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine’s Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world. According to Wikipedia!
What a fabulous day! The commercial celebration of romance and romantic love through the connections of the heart is a great idea. Prosperity and abundance are created through all the gift buying and the gift giving because the underlying foundation of Valentine’s Day giving is really from heart to heart! How fun to pick out a Valentine’s card for someone you love!
Picking out a Valentine’s card is not always about romance, yet about honoring someone you love. Looking at my past experiences, when I was in school, loved Valentine’s Day Celebrations. All of the kids in the class either bought Valentine’s cards for each other or in art class, we made hand-made Valentine’s cards for each other.
These memories are forever etched in my heart. For sure, perhaps my classmates do remember these times! And remember the times of even giving a slew of Valentine’s Day cards to our teacher. Sometimes in my thoughts… “Did my teacher or friends like the card picked out, especially for them?” Yes, they did. Loved the ones given to me!
These are some of the wondrous memories that live in our hearts forever. These memories are timeless! Not about jumping back into the past, but about “remembering” these times of sharing heart to heart!
In these challenging times, perhaps Valentine’s Day is a day to remember your connections with others. Yes, from the past, whether an individual is still in your life or has moved on or even in death, these heartfelt memories support you to remember these special times of all of your heart to heart connections!
So, the spiritual or perhaps religious aspect of Valentine’s Day is the spiritual connection you have with someone. Yes, it can be romantic. Yet again, this spiritual aspect of Valentine’s Day can include romantic and/or friendship and family connections that are special! These special or individual connections support your heart through these heart connections…yours and theirs!
The cards are a very special form of recognition and acknowledgment of a special person or persons in your life. The cards express your feelings. Even when the Valentine’s card is not about a love connection to someone, but a written form of gratitude and appreciation of this person you have chosen to give a card to, you are giving out happiness and connection! Or even flowers for this special occasion, you are sharing your love!
What is so special about Valentine’s Day, this special carries the resonance of the heart, the spiritual connections, and even a religious aspect, without being a religion, with fun cultural components. These four aspects when connected through your heart create an effect of a relationship that only the heart can provide and support!
